The Victoria Tote bag pattern makes a great tote for all your sewing and knitting needs, as well as a beautiful travel bag! This project uses mostly felted wool, which can usually be found at your local fabric store. Finished size is 21" x 14".
Materials Needed:
- 7/8 yd brown floral upholstery fabric for back, straps, & front accent
- 1/2 yd green stripe upholstery fabric for straps and front accent
- 1 yd green floral upholstery fabric for lining, pocket, and cover for baseboard
- 1 yd thin cotton batting
- 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" gold wool for applique block
- Scraps - red, purple, green, dark blue and light blue wood for applique
- Scraps of coordinated wool and upholstery fabric for two 16 patch blocks. You will need thirty-two 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" blocks.
- #11 Straw needles
- #24 Chenille needles
- 100% cotton thread or 50/50 wool thread for applique
- 6" x 6" overdyed muslin for label
- 02 Pigma Pen
- Freezer paper
- 12 antique buttons for embellishment
- 1/4" thick piece of wood for baseboard measuring 4 1/2" x 19 1/2"
