Tripster Tote Bag Pattern by Maple Island Quilts

The Tripster tote bag pattern is a pieced pattern with many options, including an inventive rotary cut and machine stitched curve for the handles with a band of odd shapes dancing across the front. Finished size is 14" x 14" x 5" or envelope size 19 1/2" x 17".

Materials Needed:

Handles 1/4 yd of 2 fabrics
6 fat quarters for the bag
Turndown lining 3/4 yd
Safety pin for turning handles
Light weight stabilizer eith 2-9 1/2" squares or 1 - 11" x 21" piece
Optional: Decorative thread, buttons, trims
Batting: 21" x 40" for bag and 2 - 1 7/8" x 45" for padded handles
Cardboard (5 1/2" x 15") for bag bottom
New fabric for binding 1/8 yd
