The Retro Messenger Bag pattern is perfect to show off that panel design and comes with instructions for an inner pocket and a customizable shoulder strap. Finished size is 9"w x 10"h x 3"d.
Materials Needed:
- FABRIC (44" wide light to medium weight cotton) - One 10" square of eye catching fabric or fabric panel. 2/3 yd of main exterior fabric for front, back, bottom, pocket, and shoulder strap. If you want a longer strap, you will need 3/4 yd. 3/4 yd of coordinating lining fabric and exterior sides.
- Iron on interfacing - Pellon 3/4 yd if you are making the shoulder strap and 1/2 yard if you are buying belting.
- Trim - 1/3yd of 1" long beadings for embellishment along bottom of bags top flap
- Tacky Glue
- Liquid seam sealant (Fray Check)
- Two metal D rings
- Two 1" swivel snap hooks
