The Rumbleford Bag Pattern is a big bag perfect for day trips and overnight.  This is a great bag to use your creativity for: piecing and quilting, slash-fabric, fabric collage & applique, border prints, and embroidery!  Finished size is 17 1/2" x 15" x 8".

Materials Needed:

• PLAIN FABRIC BAG:
• 27" x 42 1/2" panel of heavywieght fabric
• 27" x 36" piece of lining fabric (plus extra if you want internal pockets)
• Two 5" x 26" strips of fusible interfacing
• Eight 1/2" grommets (No.4) and grommet setting tool
• 2 1/4-2 1/2 yds of 1/2" decorative cording for plain strap OR materials for other strap options (details in pattern)
• PIECED AND QUILTED BAG
• 3/8 yd for top band
• 1/4 yd EACH of eight (or more) additional fabrics to coordinate with top band (fat quarters o.k.)
• Approx. 30" x 46" piece (1 3/8 yd) of backing fabric (won't show on finished bag)
• Approx. 29" x 45" piece of low loft batting
• Lining, interfacing, grommets, and cording as indicated for plain fabric bag.
