How do I make my own photo bag?

It's easy! You order a pattern from us!  We give you complete instructions on how to do it. The cost of each pattern covers one photo fabric panel in the size of your choice (where applicable).  

Can I have a second photo on my bag?

Yes, you can order back panel photos, custom wording for your side panels or side panel pockets and collages.  View these items on our extra goodies page or on pattern pages. 

How do I use my fabric photo panel once it arrives?

Just like normal fabric.  Your photo will come with a 1/2" seam allowance around the photo and one layer of fusible interfacing.  If you are planning to add a second layer of interfacing to the photo or are going to iron on the photo when complete, read and follow pressing instructions that come in your pattern carefully.

     Photographs must be between 3x5 and 8x10".   We can accept color or black and white.  We may need to crop your photos for proper sizing.  Color may vary slightly after printing.  If you are scanning and emailing, please do so at 150% of original size and at least 300 dpi. Can I use horizontally or vertically oriented photos?

    That depends on the bag you desire.  It will indicate on the pattern what photo orientation best suits that style. In some cases, photos can be cropped to fit a bag despite orientation. If you wish to see how a particular photo will be cropped for a particular bag, send it to us and we will send you a proof of how it will look cropped. 

May I use a photo on the second side of the bag?

    Yes, you may purchase additional photo panels for the back side of your bag.  Custom wording on side panels and side panel pockets can also be purchased. .

Can I have a collage of photos put on my bag?

    Yes, we can create one for you through our extra goodies or you can create a collage yourself. Please contact us if you would like to create one yourself for image dimension requirements.  We cannot make any improvements collages prepared by customers.  

Can you make changes to my photos?

    Yes, we can make your color photos black and white or sepia at no additional charge. We strongly discourage hand-tinted black and white photos.  We can make slight improvements to your photo (i.e. red eyes and sharpening) but for the most part, the quality you see on your completed bag will be the same quality as the photo you send us.  For more information, click here.

How do I pick a good photo for a photo bag?

     We strongly encourage you to pick a high quality photo for your bag.  For more information,  click here.

Will I get my photos back?

     Yes, we will make every effort to get your photos back to you in the same condition as we received them. If you are mailing them, please secure them between layers of cardboard.  Do not send irreplaceable photographs.

Am I limited to just photographs?

    No, we can use children's artwork, birth certificates, foot or  hand (or paw) prints, marriage certificates, love poems - whatever!  We are only limited by your imagination!

How do I care for my bag? 
  Photo panel is washable, however, the fabrics you use may not be so use care when washing as dyes may bleed to photo panel.  Press photo panel with wax paper between iron and photo, iron should be medium-high heat.  We recommend Scotchguarding photo once a year.

What about refunds?

  Our products are highly personalized so we are unable to offer refunds.  If, for some reason,  you are unhappy with your item, we will work with you to correct it but all sales are final.
