The Matilda purse pattern is a roomy shoulder bag with 2 interior pockets and a button closure.  Use one or more alternating fabrics to make this bag extra special!  Finished size is 17" long x 11" tall x 4 1/2".

Materials Needed:

• For Both Purses:
• 1 1/2 yd small print cotton fabric (lining, interior pockets, and exterior purse bottom)
• Hook & Loop tape (Velcro)
• One 1 1/2" button
• Two 1" buttons
• OPTIONAL: 20" x 6" piece of heavy duty interfacing for stiffening bottom of purse
• Printed cotton Purse:
• 3/4 yd medium print cottom fabric (extra needed for one way designs - half of exterior purse)
• 3/4 yd large print cotton fabric (extra needed for one way designs - half of exterior purse)
• Brown Cotton Velvet Purse:
• 1 1/2 yd of cotton velvet fabric (extra needed for one way designs or nap - exterior of purse)
• 1 1/2 yd of cotton fabric 9lining and interior pockets)
• One 1 1/2" button
• Two 1" buttons
