The Mary Ann's Market Tote pattern by Purse Strings has instructions for heavy duty interfacing to make this market bag extra durable and sturdy!  Finished size is 16 1/2" x 14 1/2" x 4 1/2".

Materials Needed:

• 3/8 yd outer bag fabric
• 1/4 yd contrasting lower band fabric
• 1/2 yd contrasting lining fabric
• 3/8 yd contrasting handle fabric
• 3/8 yd contrasting pocket fabric
• 1/8 yd contrasting binding fabric for top of tote (If you want this binding to be bias, you need to add 1/2 yd)
• 7 yds pre-packaged covered piping (Or make your own with 1/2 yd contrasting fabrci and 7 yds of 1/8" cotton cording-instructions included)
• 1/4 yd 1/2" elastic
• 3/4 yd 22" wide fusible woven interfacing for back of outer bag
• 1/2 yd 15"-22" wide sturdy interfacing (like Timtex) for back of lwoer band
• 1/2 yd fusible knit interfacing for back of lining (Like Fusi Knit)
• 1 - 1" or larger button for pocket
