Do you know what a jelly roll is?  It is a fast growing and fun way to buy fabric for quilting projects, including purses!  A jelly roll are bundles of strip fabric with 40 to a roll measuring 2 1/2" x 42".  Make your own for fun combinations!

For this pattern, a total of 17 strips will be needed.  Finished size is 16 1/2" x 14 1/2".

Materials Needed:

• Bag front and back: One jelly roll or seventeen 2 1/2" x 42" strips (1 jelly roll can make 2 to 3 bags, depending on the size)
• Lining: 2 fat quarters or 1/2 yd
• 3/4 yd heavyweight Pellon fusible interfacing (such as Craft Fuse)
• 1/4 yd lightweight fusible interfacing for bag handles
• 5" x 15" piece of foam core board or cardboard
• 1" covered button kit or four 1" buttons
